Verse 1

May we be merciful, compassionate as our dear Lord, Forgiving when someone sinned and lost his way. Our Lord's not here to touch each hand, or seek each one who goes astray. For in His children so like Him, He works His love and care.

Verse 2

May we show gentleness, show kindness in each word and deed. We need to see His care in each hand and face. We search each heart to see His love, listen for words of truth and grace. We lift each other up and serve with mercy found in Him.

 

Verse 3

May we show peacefulness, rejecting strife and arrogance. May we show servitude in the work we do. We try to feel each other's pain, alert for what we need to do. God knows all  that you need in us and all we need in you.
