Lyrics
Chorus
The Christ has been anointed to preach unto the poor, To heal the brokenhearted, and break the prison doors, To comfort those in Zion and set the captive free. For everyone, the day has come: Messian’s Jubilee.
Verse 1
One Sabbath day when Jesus was home in Galilee, Isaiah’s scroll was chosen. The Lord stood up to read. He spoke the prophet’s teachings and all the room was stilled when He proclaimed, “The message today has been fulfilled.”
Verse 2
He met a man so troubled who dwelled among the tombs. The demons had possessed him. His life had been consumed. The Christ cast out the demons and gave him life restored to show all of the nations the mercy of the Lord.
Verse 3
A woman who had suffered thru many painful years pushed thru the crowd to Jesus. Her faith had drawn her near. Just one touch of His garments and her disease was healed. The saving pow’r of Jesus that day had been revealed.
